Design Factory Melbourne Global Scholarship Recipient
Swinburne Graduate Award for Excellence in Design Strategy & Management
Hi, I am Aaron, a passionate designer and strategist with a love for human-centered design, strategy, branding, typography, publication design and design research. I have a Bachelor of Design (Communication Design)/Bachelor of Business (Marketing) double degree and a Bachelor of Design (First Class Honours) from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia.
I am a passionate advocate for the role of co-creation in interdisciplinary innovation, and the role the creative industries plays in strategy, innovation and business development.
I’m currently working as the Design & Marketing Director at the Design Foundation. The Design Foundation is a not for profit organisation that aims to raise awareness about the power of design by exploring the differences within design and that design can make, through the agIdeas events and now the broader Ideas on Design program.
2016/17 saw me undertake a global research project with Design Factory Melbourne (DFM) - working in partnership with Stanford University & Nantong University in the ME310 program.
In 2018, I joined the Design Factory Melbourne team as the Design and Communications Coordinator. I also assist the DFM team in facilitating workshops with students, researchers, and organisations about Design Thinking and design-led innovation processes. I am currently acting at the International Research & Development Projects Coordinator, leading DFM’s programs with the Center for Design Research at Stanford University and IdeaSquare at CERN in the ME310, SUGAR and CBI programs.
